During the preservation and restoration phase, our efforts are focused on the work at hand. However, we are offering limited opportunities to come aboard, enjoy a tour of Baltimore Harbor Light hosted by one of the new Keepers, see the restoration efforts, and even lend a hand if you'd like to. You will be welcomed aboard to explore all five decks of the lighthouse at your leisure, enjoy light refreshments or a meal on the main deck, sit back and imagine the solitude and quiet of days gone by.
For more information, please click the "Book an Excursion" button below to email the Keepers. Please include your name, preferred contact method, your desired visit date, approximate size of your group, and please mention any special occasions, requests or information that will assist us in making your lighthouse excursion more memorable.
Please read the following carefully: Yes, this is the small print.
The excursion to BHL is truly adventure travel and involves some physical exertion to board the Lighthouse. After a boat ride out to the Light, guests will transfer from a small boat to a steep ladder and climb up through a trap door on the lighthouse main deck. As access is only available via the ladder, boarding is at the sole discretion of the Keepers, and can be aborted if sea state or weather conditions make boarding impractical.
Appropriate clothing and footwear is required; no flip-flops, Crocs, open-back shoes or high heels. Keepers carefully monitor weather conditions and if conditions change or are forecast to change, the Keepers retain the right to shorten your booked visit for your safety. In such a case, refund of your fee may be prorated at the sole discretion of the BHL, LLC. If you have any concerns that you or a member of your party will have difficulty, we strongly advise consulting a lightkeeper to discuss your concerns.
All tour participants must be at least 18 years old and at least 52” tall. Group size may be limited. Reservations require a 1/3 deposit.
